Default Lemon Law - Mazda 6 - 2015

Hi,
On June 30 I bought a 2015 Mazda 6 Grand Touring. This is July 16 and my car has been in the dealership for 10 days. The dashboard lit up like a Christmas Tree on July 7. I was told it was a safety bag module that interacts with everything else. First I was told Mazda was overnighting the part, then it was 7-10 days. Yesterday I was told another 7-10 days and the regional parts guy is calling me. The dealership has been great. Mazda has been terrible. I already have the name of an attorney it appears I probably won't have a problem at all getting a new car as when I hit 30 days the PA (I live in Pittsburgh) Lemon Law will go into effect. If anyone has had a problem like this with Mazda, please let me know. I'll keep you posted. It was between this car and a Subaru Legacy 2015. I should have bought the Subaru.

Talking

The regional service manager called me and said that in his area, Baltimore-Maryland - Pittsburgh there have been 4 failures with the air bag module that is needed. He said that Mazda is actually RE-manufacturing the part and making it a little different. That is why it is taking longer than they thought. He then told me he thought the part would be available tomorrow from Chicago. At the end of the day he said the part would be available but we may not have it tomorrow. I'll keep you posted. I spoke with an attorney also and this would be a pretty simple lemon law issue in PA since after the car was one week old, the Mazda Dealership has had the car more than I have!!!

Here is the short version, today at 3:30 the dealership called and the part came in this morning and they put it in. Hopefully it worked. Hopefully the regional service manager will have learned something about telling folks he guarantees something is coming in. The part was a Restraint Control Module. If it doesn't end up being a recall it will end up being a bulletin since it was remanufactured.
July 7-July 18 - 11 days but I dropped it off on the 7th @ 7:30 AM and picked it up @ 4:30 PM.
