Are you sure the battery is the right way up? Is the red light going when you press the buttons?

There is no light on the 2004 fob. Very frustrating.

I would pull it apart again, double check the battery is the right way round, also re-tension the contacts.

All of this procedure works except for Step 7. I have pressed the lock, unlock, and trunk keys all twice, and the car does not respond. And the fob then does not connect electronically to the car. Otherwise every other step works. I get the car's locking and unlocking in the other steps, even Step 9. Does anyone know what the problem is? TIA

If the battery is good, then its highly likely your remote is broken.

I had my fobs electronic circuit checked my electronics expert. All fine. Also it gave off strong radio signal. But still won’t connect to car. Frustrating.
