HELP PLEASE!!!! need to know the difference 2007 2004
ok so i bought a 2004 mazda 6 2.3l the next day motor started knocking it had 190000 miles. wife bought it so i wasn't able to inspect before purchase. so i got stuck with the car so i found a motor a 2007 motor and tranny i put new motor and tranny are in the car it won't start because different timing. i want to change ecu but they look completely different. will i have to swap my dash harness and engine harness to swap the ecu. wondering about dash harness. i know i need engine harness and ecu i'm trying to figure out if everything will plug. i was going to swap my intake cam so, when i tore my cam off at the end of the cam is scared.!! so i cant and don't want to put a 190000 mile cam that's scored into a 45000 mile motor. will me buying the whole dash harness engine harness ecu and coils to be able to use a 2007 mazda6 2.3l 45000 miles on a 2004 mazda 6 2.3????????????????????????? thank you i really could use a my wife car is sitting...
ECU plug should be the same, however, if you use everything off the old engine and the old cams it should all be good. Only the actual block & head should be used off the new engine.
i was going to swap everything over.when i took the intake cam off it is scored i dont want to put the intake cam in the new motor if it is scored.... can i do the engine wiring harness tcm dash harness and ecu? or can i just swap ecu and tcm. i want the six speed to work my mechanic said that if i get everything dash engine wiring harness and ecu the motor should run?trying to verifiy that the wiring from the 07 will match up like with the speedo and all other plugs like the lights. i know timing is different. the intake cam on old motor is skrewed my only other option is the full motor swap wiring and all. but will it work the full*** motor swap?????????????
Its going to be a massive undertaking to swap looms. You may end up replacing every piece of wiring in the car, plus other computers eg ABS, SRS etc & instrument cluster may not be compatible.
