RE: Has anyone here...
I just noticed last night that my passenger side low beam is out already. My 6s only has 24000 miles on it. I've never had a light burn out that quick. My 99 Miata is at 55000 miles on the stock bulbs still.

You're not getting condensation in your passenger side headlight are you? I just had my whole headlight assembly replaced (covered under warranty) about a month ago for the condensation.

I haven't seen any building up. It's been stored in a garage since we moved in to a new house last October. I wonder if the dealer will think a headlight bulb is a "consumable" at 25000 miles? I really don't feel like buying new bulbs.

cndctrdj,
I hate when people run off-road lights on the highway. Nothing like getting blinded from behind. I usually slam my brakes on people like you. Like you said, they ARE illegal and they are that for a reason....safety for EVERYONE ELSE. Please be considerate of others on the road. It's as much for tham as it is for you.
One thing that you might want to think about. Those higher wattage bulbs are putting a huge strain on the stock wiring. It isn't uncommon for high watt bulbs to fry the wiring.

the car is also a 95 trans am so on top of it being very low to the ground and not tall enough to blind people, i lowered the car. my headlights are about 1 and a half feet off the ground at best.
your so worried about someones high beams in your face that you try to physically hurt them with you slamming on your brakes, wow, thats pretty bad.
and i live in the northeast and we dont have street lights everywhere so going down backroads at night i feel alot better with my bright lights so i can see deer and other things. ive had my lights in for a few years now and no burning problems or wire problems or anything
