Default First time Mazda owner question

I bought a 2017 Mazda 6, Blue Reflex, black/brown interior, 21000 miles, in near new condition, Love it, first time Mazda owner.

After I bought it I started reading about gas getting into the oil with GDI engines, and some appears normal. I started to watch my dipstick, and the oil level has not fluctuated, right in the middle of full and low. But the oil does have a strong Oder of gasoline. Any reassuring thoughts?? Thanks in advance.

Never seen any issues with petrol getting into the oil on Mazda's.

So I take it that I should have it looked at by the dealer?

Oil is a petroleum product. It is going to emit similar hydrocarbons/odors as gosoline. It could get pushed past the rings during compression, but as your car is so new it seems unlikely. If you are under warranty take it to a dealer. If not, find a good independent mechanic... or you can just change your oil and keep an eye on it...
