Okay, I just bought an 06 6GT yesterday and not sure if this is a "problem" or just a trait of the car. I had an 03 protege and have been driving an 09 3 (Protege got totaled) and after you released the brake it was quick to snap back to place. With the 6 it feels fine going down, and it comes back up, but it doesn't feel "crisp" like in the 3 and protege. Am I overly picky or has someone else had this problem? What actually makes the pedal return to its original position?
