Question Boot/Trunk open button stopped working.

As the thread title says, 2009 model.

The button on the key works so i can still open the boot but the button on the car doesn't do anything. I've only had it a couple of weeks and it was working when i got it but now it don't. I've seen a few reports of similar problems and everyone mentions there being another button in the glove but it doesn't appear to be there in mine. I can't find anything in the manual either.

Any suggestions?

2009, would be the GH series. Very common for the rubber button to split & allow water ingestion, if so it will need replacing. If in doubt, remove the switch & check it with a ohm meter.

Thanks, that would make sense considering the weather here, it not working now does coincide with the heavy rain over the last few days. I wouldn't know how to go about removing the switch though, is it fairly straightforward?
