Default Air intake temp resister?

Has anyone added any of the resistors to the intake temp sensor? My 4 cylinder is a bit anemic when first starting out. I added one to my last car, and wondered if anyone had any improvement with the 4cylinder auto with this mod?

hey man.............u have a nice car......dont put junk on your nice car.........if u wanna mod it....do it the right way. those resistor things are a freakin joke.......dont believe everything u see and read man or lady............it wont make much of a difference......all it does is make ur ECU think its suckin in a bunch of colder air...........good on a cold day yes.........100 degrees no........it'll keep advancing timing then u may wind up with deto. Besides it being dangerous.......ur ECU will learn the changed signal and revert it back to stock values anyway if its left on there. dont waste ur money on hacks with a potent , sexy, and down right fun to drive 6.........chip it! its worth the money! and it wont void ur warranty!

that all depends on ur mechanical knowledge........whether or not u feel comfortable taking ur ecu apart, or just plug and play, or even the flasher...............

superchips, unichip, diablosport may sell some for our cars. dont ever go by what is on the sites..........give a call or shoot them an email

even power commanders will do the trick...........those are the flasher types........they flash ur ecu with the program.

if ur mechancally inclined.........grab up a Haltech, Megasquirt, or Greddy E-manage.......any of those would work but with those u do all tuning urself or get it done by someone with a dyno...........gets costly........those are usually used for big HP, performance goals and F.I.(turbo, superchargers)

PRICE Range: from $300-well over a thousand if tuning may be required, but all options depend on ur goal.

judging by ur first post, it doesnt seem like ur power crazy yet. so if i were u i'd flip for the chip.

www.unichips.com

www.diablosport.com

www.nopi.com (may have some)

www.slickcar.com (may have some)

just search around.....there is some much stuff out there. of course we all know money is the limit to how far any of can go. let us know if u find something, good luck with ur car.

oh yea..............are u planning an intake and exhaust? or any other mods, that dont quite have to do with ur car's computer? if so..........grab up the chip after that.....u'll save on reburn expenses...........or just get the power commander, and u can add that stuff in as u go. just a little FYI for u.

Custom Performance Engineering, http://www.cp-e.com/, makes cold air intakes with customizable MAF settings. They've recently produced a header system for the 6s too.
