2014 2.2 Skyactiv-D head gasket engine replacement
I have a 2014 Mazda 6 Atenza 2.2 Skyactiv-D that I bought from a private seller in April. I was driving it for less than a month when I took it in to my local Mazda dealer for the Android Auto upgrade and they advised me it likely has a blown head gasket. They couldn't diagnose it at the time, however it's going back to them in a few days for a proper diagnosis and I haven't driven it at all since then.
I've read as much as I can on the issue and it sounds like Mazda Australia has been pretty good about replacing these engines when this happens. It currently has 189000km on it, and wasn't being serviced with Mazda prior to me owning it. Given the age, service history and kilometres I understand my chances are slim but I still need to give it a go.
There's plenty of posts from people that have gone through the same or similar situation, so I'm trying to find out if there's anything in particular I can say or do to increase my chances of getting the repair cost covered (even partially) by Mazda? Any advice would be appreciated.

You would know better then me I was going by the year. Many dealer auction vehicle I have purchased had issues catastrophic failures in nature similar to the age of the OP's Mazda and we were never able to get the auto manufacture to give anything!
But there is not downside to attempting to get Mazda to chip in a little!

Thanks guys.
@grim_reaper I am trying to get additional service history receipts from the previous owner but currently I don't have that so I'm not holding my breath.
I'll still give it a go obviously, but expected the lack of complete service history to be the biggest issue. From your experience do you think they might still contribute something to the repair costs as they apparently have for others? Something is better than nothing.

I have just heard back from Mazda today after they've had the car for 8 weeks.
I ended up finding all but 1 piece of service history and provided that to them.
They sent away the radiator for testing and it came back fine. They then disassembled the engine and found a lot of carbonisation which is unsurprising.
Mazda Australia has said it's had a reasonable service life and they're not going to help. I have been quoted $5800 for a new head gasket.
I'm going to try my best to change this outcome, but like I said I'm not expecting to be successful.
@grim_reaper do you have any suggestions for what I should say or do while dealing with Mazda Australia on this? Or anyone else with similar experiences?
