2006 Mazda 6 won't start
Turn the key and security light and park or neutral( tried in both positions) light blink and click.
Car won't jump start unless I unhook neg. cable for a min or two. Then jumps and runs fine until I park for a while then either struggles to start(weak sounding) or won't start and have to repeat the unhooking of battery cable and jump. Lights and radio work and are not dim at all.
Is it a security issue or battery issue , it's my daughter's car and she doesn't have money to dump into expensive repairs or guessing .
Thx for any help given

Could be the battery or is not charging properly, turn on the engine, lights off when the car is running, disconnect the negative from the battery, engine should be on around 35 sec if it turn off immediately you have a bad alternator.

How old is the Battery?
I really think you need to change the battery anyway, but don't forget about alternator.
Wrap it in insulation.
This battery will fit, it is a little taller:
This particular Mazda 6 has a very poor ground under the intake box in front of the wheel well. It needs to be fixed as it corrodes. It's actually a ground block with 4 wires there. The stock ground also should be rejuvenated. I would also add an extra ground wire to the body and to the engine block.
