mazda 626 won't start

Default mazda 626 won't start

I have read the other posts here and i am learning alot but my SIL car has power, lights turn on inside as well as headlights and radio but it won't crank when you turn the key theres nothing no noise under the hood no clicks no nothing and i'm just looking for any help. its a 96 automatic

If evrything operates normal on the car except for it not starting there is few options. There is three things that can have a problem. Most likely is the starter on the engine. The other two items are the ignition switch and transmission range switch. To narrow it down you would have to find out if there is power going to the starter on the solenoid wire when turning the key to "start". If power is there, then it is the starter...if not, then you have to trace back to find the problem.

thanks for the info bkey71, she took it to her dealer and it was still under warranty,luckily they said it was a loose wire to her starter. if i could have gotten under there i probably would have seen that but anyway thanks for the help
