2006 Mazda 6 starting problem - clicks
This occurs sporadically but it's been happening more often in the last few months. I turn the key and it just clicks. Repeat anywhere from 1-20 times and it eventually starts. Battery is new. Lights/accessories power is fine. There's no problem cranking so I'm ruling out starter/solenoid. Suspected a ground problem so I cleaned battery terminals & cables. I've read in a couple of posts about the ground connection to the body (other end of the negative cable) corroding. I haven't checked that. Sound familiar? Suggestions?
Also, unrelated to the starting issue, I've noticed that often after I shut down, there's a buzz/hum coming from under the hood that lasts 1-3 minutes and then stops. Anyone have any idea what that might be?
Thanks In Advance!

Don't know about clicking, but i can help you with some ground issues for this model as mine is the same, pics are mine!
Extra ground wires from negative terminal of battery to body, engine block and tranny are good ideas. Tranny if automatic, mine is 6 speed aisin warner crap tranny (make sure you install external tranny cooler on this).
The stupid ground is located in front of driver side wheel, under air filter, in front of fuse box.
