Default 2005 Mazda6 with a "knock"

I just purchased an 05 Mazda6 with 49,000 miles on the V6. I noticed a slight "knock" during exceleration. It's not loud at all and only happens after the car has been running and the engin is warm AND only when you ease on the accelerator. between 1000 and 2000 rpm. Anyone know whats goin on or had similar problems??

what kind of gas, high quality? Try using dry gas, or filling up with premium...

im still driving on the gas that the dealership filled me up with (im sure it was the cheapest gas they could find) I'm just wondering if I made a BIG mistake buying this car....... I did however buy the 1yr power train warranty... I just dont want to try and ignore the noise and it turn out to be a major problem. lol also my CD player seems to be screwed up... left side speakers cut out, but only while listening to CDs...

best thing to do is bring it back, make sure they hear the noise, and explain to them what you want done and how you want it fixed, make sure it is all in writing so if they deny it now, you have proof yuo complained about it...

welp I took the car to the dealer ship Monday. Turns out that I had 150 miles left on the factory warranty! They said they would just replace my cd player but say they dont hear the knock I'm hearing... I think I hate this car.. I want a refund....[:@]

i would say with the knock , there can only be 2 things i can think of

1) Your piston rings are going out on you , and those are alot of money to replace .
2) Your transmission is starting to go out on you . I hate to say it but i run a shop here in vegas and thats what it always turns out to be .

Also with your CD player issue you just have bad wiring , not much to repair . A place like best buy should fix it for right around , ehh i say about 30=40 somewhere in that range not much .....

Thanks to all that responded. So here's the deal.... I had some of the factory warranty left on the car so I took it to the Mazdadealership. They have a NEW CD player on order! WOO HOO! As for the ticking.. I was called yesterday and the service manager informed me that the noise I'm hearing is "normal"........ Yeah RIGHT! I have been around engines all my life and although I may not be able to pin point the location of the noise or figure out whats causing the tick, I KNOW THAT IT IS NOT NORMAL! So I guess the plan for now is the car ISN'T going to leave the dealership until the problem is fixed... I'll keep yall posted. wish me luck!

that or just ask them for to go for the ride with you, and if they still say it is normal have it in writting about the complaint so if anything happens from this "knock" your *** is covered!
