Evening fellas, new to the forums and was experiencing a problem starting my car tonight. I have a 2001 Mazda 626 lx, which was cranking fine bt refused to start.

Has anyone experienced anything similar with their Mazda?
If anyone has any info that could help, it would be much appreciated.

 

Has it got spark?
Has It got fuel?
Do the camshafts rotate when the crank rotates?
Is the engine hot or cold when not starting?
Any warning lights on the dash when cranking?

 

Thanks for the prompt response, I believe that it has spark because it catches. It may be fuel deprived, but I' not sure because the fuel up light doesn't come one. The only light that came on occasionally was the check engine light, but after the 3rd time trying to start it, it dissipated and didn't come back.
Sorry for the dumb questions, I'm new to the whole car scene and am trying to learn more so that I can save myself some money from going to a mechanic.
