Default XM Stereo Install

I'm having issues trying to get an install on an aftermarket Pioneer XM satellite radio unit installed into my newly purchased Mazda5. I'm a charter XM subscriber and don't want to switch to Sirius, but I've been getting nothing but a run around from the dealer as well as Best Buy, where I originally purchased the unit. The dealer claims that I need special antenna wires to install the unit and only Best Buy has them. The "experts" at Best Buy look at me like I have three heads when I went to get the wires. Any help would be greatly appreciated! I want my XM![:@]

You do need an XM antenna, and that will include th wire going to and from the unit. Best buy sucks. Go to Circuit City. They will usually help you out, regardless of the fact hat you didn't buy it there (unless of course your local Circuit City sucks, too). I can get more detail for you if you want, my fiance used to do this for a living.

Thanks for the information; do you happen to know what brand of antenna I would need? The installation "expert" I spoke with said that I would need two wires; one goes from the XM receiver to the in-dash audio unit, and the other is the Antenna, which is a silver tube around 6" long that connects to the in-dash unit as well. I'm having a hard time finding the adapter and the antenna to fit the Mazda factory unit.

Thanks again for your help, I really appreciate it!
