My first post on the forum! I have read different things on changing/replacing the transmission fluid on a Mazda and can’t seem to find an answer to my Mazda 5’s exact year.

I have a 2014 Mazda 5 with 80k miles on it. When does the transmission fluid need to be changed/replaced? I have read from some places that it is not necessary at all but want to make sure as I cannot find an answer in my manual for some reason.

Officially it's filled for the life of the vehicle, how long that is, is unknown. For piece of mind I would change it now.

 

Based on the burned smell of my fluid when I changed around 90k the life of the car might be a little shorter than otherwise.
