I recently bought 2006 Mazda5 with built in Sat Nav. The screen does not respond to command as I assumed that it could be touch screen sat nav. I went to Mazda dealer and they told me that the Sat nav requires a remote controller to operate. Can any one suggest where I can get a remote control for navigation system.

It needs a remote? That is the stupidest thing I have ever heard. Why on earth would the require the remote...

Sometimes car companies don't really think. (either that or your unit is broken and your dealer is an idiot)

 

you do need a remote.mine broke luckly under warranty and mazda was the only place to get it.did take 7 weeks to get (was on back order from japan) great sat nav.lots of features.
get it working,you wont be dissappionted.

its not touch screen but does have voice recognition,thats why remote controlled.
