A couple of days ago when on the motorway my powertrain light came on on my manual, diesel, mazda 5 but turned off when my speed decreased a little, it seems to happen when I am in 3rd gear or higher and over 2500 revs. The light always goes off when speed decreases but I connected to a obd2 fault checker and no codes have been recorded. Any ideas what the fault could be?

 

The Wrench light is mainly for the electronic throttle body, it's probably icing over in cold weather. You may need to have the throttle body replaced, my 2012 is on revision "D" and hasn't had an issue since.
