O/D off warning light

O/D off warning light

The dash light that warns "O/D off" is blinking on my 2001 626 with 92,000 miles. Can anyone say what this means?

RE: O/D off warning light

The O/D light is the transmission's equivalent to the check engine light. A fault is being detected is some operating system of the transmission. Diagnostic trouble codes should be stored that need to be retrieved for a direction as to the cause.
