Exclamation Mazda 5 - Windshield Replacement - OEM vs. Aftermarket?

Looking into replacing the Windshield on a 2008 Mazda 5 GT. Would you go with the OEM Mazda Windshield? Or would you go with an Aftermarket Version with the same quality and specs? Aftermarket version would be like a (PPG Brand) version and others... Is there a big difference? Aftermarket is up to all the same specs... What are your thoughts?

If your able to obtain the exact same specs, I don't think there will be quality issue. Just make sure the replacement glass has some type of low-E or UV coating. My wife who was driving on the freeway had a stone crack the windshield. Our insurance recommended a glass replacement company who replaced the glass which later we found out made the Mazda very hot vs. the OEM. Seems the new windshield lets all the sun's energy in which makes the car more hot than usual vs. the OEM.

Located a window shop that was able to find a good deal on a Mazda OEM Windshield... Will give it a try and see what happens. It was a little more that the aftermarket versions, but thought it was worth it!

* Can you check out my other post about the (Door Rattle)? Need some big time help here too... Big time (Glass Rattle Sound) bummer...
