Hello Everyone,

New here with a 2012 Mazda 5 with the factory Mazda roof rails. I have searched high and low but can not find any reference to how to remove these.

I get down to the post but it doesn't have a nut at the base of the post and post isn't an allen key socket live I have seen on some.

I was thinking maybe i need to remove the weather strip but I used a trim tool and it didn't want to pop. I didn't want to force it and I couldn't figure out if there was an end cap to remove.

Anyone able to advise me on the next step?

Try tightening two nuts together on the stud and try turning the stud anticlockwise via the lower nut.
