Default DSC and window fault on Mazda 5

Hi, I've just bought a 55 plate mazda 5 (done 25K). It was serviced and MOT'd before I collected it but I have DSC warning light on constantly and the electric windows though work on the doors themselves do not work from the drivers door. I am going to contact the garage I bought it from but was wondering in the mean time does anyone know if this is a common fault, is it easy to fix and would it have shown up on the service? I'm just trying to predict if they would cover it in their warrenty I got when I bought the car or if this is going to turn into a very expensive car suddenly. thanks in advance.

check your operating manual!!!

You disconnected battery so you need to reprogram windows and steering position, nothing wrong with the car.

If the DSC warning light (the skidding car) is on it is usually failure of the DSC/ABS control module. It is well over £1000 to replace so I would get back to the dealer immediately.

Thanks I've been in touch with them and they have asked me to get it put on a computer by the garage to test the fault. hopefully they will fix it if it is something major, they have aggreed to cover the costs so far so am hopeing to get it fixed by them. The windows are working now at least anyway
