Default 2007 Mazda5 Locks Activate Randomly

Just joined the forum after experiencing this very odd symptom related to the locks and alarm. It is the strangest thing that has begun recently.

1) After inserting the key in the ignition and starting the car, the locks in all the doors begin clicking on and off about 10-15 times then stops. However the lock tab indicator on the door doesn't flick back and forth.

2) A few hours after the car is locked with the remote, the alarm starts sounding. Unlocking the car with the wireless remote stops the alarm. But when it is locked with the remote then the alarm can sounds after a couple of minutes or alarm stays off.

It seems like a sensor thinks the door becomes open while the alarm is still on.

Any ideas on the fault or how to troubleshoot. Would an ODBII code reader help.

Thanks to all for your help.

I just posted a similar occurrence in the main forum... https://www.mazdaforum.com/forum/gen...ne-wild-33288/

I do believe its water/snow infiltration (in my case). Any updates on your situation?
