What ho one and all,

2015 Maz3 gen3 hatchback; I want to install a reversing camera. The dealer has told me everything is in place, and the MZD is compatible. I see two types, the hatchback one which replaces the number plate light or the sedan version, for which the sedan has a specific knock-out cover to install the camera.

Mine does not have that cover but I was looking and a 2016 M3 hatchback today, that did have a camera. Whether it is factory fitted or fitted later, I don't know. However, it was fitted in the position as arrowed in the photo. Is it possible to fit a sedan camera to this location; obviously, I would have to do a bit of trimming to create a hole but I am OK with doing that. This does seem to be the best location.
