Hi, I have a 2004 Mazda3 hatchback it has a bearing noise at low city speeds, it gets slightly louder when turning to the right which leads me to front left wheel bearing, but when up on hoist running the noise seems to be coming from the transmission maybe carrier bearing. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

I recently had the same problem, took it to the dealer, they replaced the bearing on the right side, but the noise and slight vibration continued.
It turned out to be the lousy goodyear tires.
You might want to check your tires.
