i feel very limitted on what i can do with my 3 ...so far CAI, soon to be exhaust, headers...what else....piggy back wont work since our ECU's are btches....I know on mazda3forums.com someone mentioned about a ECU that someone is using on that forum only prob is i can't find the link to that thread no more.

 

turbo if u have the $ but that would be a waste of money seeing as how u could have just bought the speed3. there are plenty of exterior and interior mods you can do to your 3 but as far as the performance your not going to be able to do much unless you are willing to spend upwards of 5k

 

...yea 5 k i sure as hell will not spend...if i happened to find a turbo for 2 then maybe but other than that hell no. i just want performance....i want at least 200hp or 180 or so.

 

theres always that ghetto chip that "increases hp by up to 5"....

 

that wont work for our cars since the ECU will re adapt its self and go back to default setting...i think.

 

(Embarrassed) Remember when I said that I had been ripped off by some eBay sellers.....
It's nothing but a resister. I never figured out where it was supposed to go in-line, and the seller was absolutely no help. After reading that all these do is make you're car run rich as hell and that it DOESN'T work, I was glad I had never figured it out.

yea i experimented with one of those for 10$ for my altima. It worked on the altima but it ran rich aaall the time so my highway milage went down the drain while in the city it stayed constant, and it did bring some power out i felt a difference but then took it off and broke the little black box open and saw a little resistor and was surprised. I dont know if it will work on our cars though.

 

put a type R sticker on the back.. thats good for about 5 horses...and cheap!!!

 

no i have a type S sticker instead so i got 15hp gain from that.....no but for real i just want to bring the car up to at least 180hp.
