it has to be the ALC i couldnt see it being anything else i notice it when i slow down and had it on at 3. or something with your wiring... but its a generally a new car. soo i dunno. maybe somebody who had it before you screwed around with it. have you talked to mazda about it??

Its not the ALC, since the ALC is set to off.

Check out what virgin1 and siber express said...
There is a recall notice. If you read it you can see that it has nothing to do with ALC.

When I read the volume you said it did it at I thought of the Recall, since losing Bass would appear the volume dropping also.

There is a TSB for this. The HU needs to be replaced.

X2 with Director. Mine is doing the same thing. Will have to bring to dealer for replacement.

I brought it in. They have to send away to replace some part in my stereo. Exactly as described in the USA recall. Thanks everyone. Will post again when its installed.
