CEL Code P2187
Definition:system to lean at/off Idle Bank 1
Explanation: Failed MAF
Probable Causes:
1.Low fuel pressure
2.Vacuum leak on engine
3.Failed H02S

i do hear a high pitch leaky noise over where my SRI is when i accelerate at around 2500-3000RPM. was wondering if anyone had any ideas of how to go about finding the problem. thx

 

it could be a tainted MAF. try cleaning it up a bit and resetting your ecu.

 

Lupae beat me to the punch, but I was gonna suggest the same thing.
I had some weird CEL's, notunlike yours,when I first installed my CAI, but cleaning the MAF has kept the car CEL free for over 3k miles now.
I stress though... BE CAREFUL when cleaning that sucker. I used 50/50 rubbing alcohol and a VERY gentle touch w/a Q-tip... twice before it solved the issue.
If you should need a new MAF, AutoZone quoted me $80, the best I had seen anywhere.

 

yea i did the same with isopropyl and it didnt solve a thing, and then i bought the actual MAF cleaner and cleaned it and still the code remained the same. i dont think thats the issue.
