Car faxes are not always complete. It means you have no carfax data for that stretch. The vehicle may have been serviced regularly---or it may have been neglected. You just don't know.

Ming:

I have never bought a car based on any carfax. I have never used carfax because carfax did not exist then and even now you can never be sure that they are complete. Focus on the car not the carfax.
It seems you like the car and now you should make sure that the things that may be wrong can be fixed at reasonable cost and your purchase price is low enough.

The 2 accidents cut two ways: they should drop the price way below average. If the fixes were done correctly you get a hell of a bargain. If they were not fixed correctly you may get a bargain from hell. These accidents worry me more than the lack of info during the car's prime time.

Since this car had contact with the enemy twice, front left, front right, I would be mostly concerned about the body and wheel alignment. Open the hood and look at the area where the fender is attached to the body. Sometimes you can see where the body was bent. Cracks in the paint, odd body panel shapes etc.
Have a look at the tires. If they are new you cannot make a conclusion regarding wheel alignment. They could hide problems. If they have some use look at the wear patterns. They should be even on both sides. If they are uneven it is a sign that the alignment is out of whack. Maybe it is possible to fix it but you don't know.
Test drive: make sure the tires are properly inflated. On a smooth, level road go about 35 to 40 mph and open the hands to release the steering wheel. Does the car drift left or right? Most roads are not completely level but higher in the middle and sloping slightly to the outside from there. On such a road a slight pull to the right is expected.
If you can safely go to the other side of center and you get the same slight pull to the left then you can conclude that the alignment is very good.
You can also ask for an alignment check at your expense prior to purchase. In fact as a first time buyer you would do well having the car inspected at your expense by a mechanic of your choice.

I understand your confusion, but you have to start somewhere and you gain experience from here. Make sure the place you are buying from has a good reputation.

Best of luck to you. I don't think I can help you more from where I am.
