TCM Module
I will possibly be changing the TCM Model on my 2.0 iTouring Sedan, my question is, is this a Stand Alone Unit (as I've seen) or is it integrated into the ECM? I've seen stand alone units on ebay for 2.0...thanks..
Back Story, we have been getting P0880 codes sporadically, car loses it Headlights at times, and seems to go into Limp Mode every so often...thank You..

Your question is not making sense?
What I think you were trying to ask and I will assume the proper question should have been: are their universal TCM for vehicles available? If that is what you were asking the answer is NO. Or at least not yet. There are many reasons why, 99% are around the fact that there are no experts or training facilities or schools to learn how to program a stand-alone TCM to match the ECU regarding the complete transmission and engine operation together. Safely and correctly. There is more information about this but i think you get the just of it.
As for the code you should also look more into any stored DTCs in the ECU and compare the results. If none then either you TCM are failing or there is a connect issues in the harness itself.

Thank you!, that code was temporary, it only comes on sporadically, but my headlights stopped working, first the regular and now the high beam...the car was driving, went into a short "limp mode", lights went off, but the car restarted and ran perfect, but with NO lights, what can it be? Victor
Thanks I did bring it to a Transmission Shop who did a Diagnostic, and said they would fix the lighting issue (Replace connectors etc ) first and then they could check other tings..but the cost (over $600) to fix the lights, seemed bit high, knowing that I have to find out, what is Causing the Lights to go out!
