I just bought a 2020 Mazda 3 and I see there are translucent stickers on the outer doors just behind the handles, on the actual door itself in the well behind the handle, does anyone know if they serve a purpose or was it just from the manufacturer and can be removed?

Are you talking about in the knuckle pocket formed in the door behind the handle (behind as in toward the innards of the door vs. towards the rear of the car )?
As delivered, cars often have a protector there to keep the paint from getting scratched by folks handling the car until delivery to the customer (rings and things). These are usually almost always removed as part of the dealer prep process. I had a bunch of plastic protective bags left in my new vehicle as received.
Or you may be talking about something completely different and I’m way off base.
