steering issues
Hi to all, could you help me please? I've got a mazda3 2011 I had a issue with the battery and the mechanic said to me sure the ECU/PCM has burned out cause of there's a warning light on dashboard and steering is almost impossible to move it so started leaking steering fluid do you know where exactly ECU/PCM is located?
it would be appreciated if you can answer.
thank you

I would be seeking a better diagnosis from your mechanic, what fault codes are they getting when scanning the PCM/ECU?
Low battery voltage &/or low alternator voltage will effect the electric power steering pump as its very power hungry.
What warning light is on?
How old is your battery? Has it been tested?
The PCM is located right beside the battery. Any replacement will need to be the same part number & be coded ( via scan tool) to your car.
