Default Stalling/ check engine light on

Hello all im new to the forum i hope you guys can help me!

i have an 06 mazda 3 2.0i and for the last few months it will stall at random moments ill come to a stop with my foot on the clutch and it will just shut off or ill be going slowly around a turn and again it will shut off, i took it to my friends shop because my check engine light is on and he said there was an Evap code but didn't tell me which other part is around the same time that the check engine light came on my a/c stopped working any ideas ?

Thanks in advance i want to get this thing fixed but i cannot afford to go to the dealer have to DIY it and being in so cal with 110 degree heat in a car with no ac really sucks!

when its not hot outside my car runs great a/c doesn't work but it doesnt stall.

ok, the reason why your a/c is not working in hot weather is because its being over worked which is causing the evap to freeze (explained simply) or its because your cabin air filter needs to be replaced (if you have one).

As for your stalling i too have the same problem but mine is caused my an exhaust leak, no idea why it would cause my car to stall when its after the 1st o2 sensor, anyway it can be a number of things, only thing can suggest for your problem is check your gas cap, make sure its tight, other than that your stuck taking it to your dealer or some shop
