SP23 Remote start install. PLEASE HELP!!!
Hi, I want to install an aftermarket remote start in my Mazda 3 SP23, but don't know where to start. The car has a security system so I have to bypass that, I guess as well as the immobilizer system. Any ideas or help???

If you want to save yourself a lot of trouble, use the Mazda factory part. It's made for your car, and guaranteed to work and wire up properly. I have it on sale dirt cheap $225. Only 'til end of month. This will work seamlessly with your factory immobilizer and security system.

If you want to review the install instructions, send me an email, and I'll send them back to you. jowen@nelsonmazda.com. that way you'll know what you are getting into.

Good advice, if you'd ask me.
Modern cars and all their electronics can be difficult to reconcile w/after-market (AM) electronics.I have no interest in a remote start kit (plus I own a 5-sp) but have read about many that have installed AM starter kits and had at least one issue with them each.
Does your car have the man-u-matic? Remote start kits won't work on the MTX cars, though they could probablybe made to by bypassing the clutch-in override switch, which is of course not recommended.
In this case, and if you can, stay with the factory recognized part/kit. You'll be a happier camper and sleep better @ night for it, I'm sure.
