Default Shark Fin Antenna

[hr]Have any of you guys put a Shark Fin on your M3? I have checked out these 2 websites www.therpstore.com & Visualgarage.com
I was wondering are these 2 the same company?

BMW's have them and I think they are hot... thinking about getting one myself. You can get them way cheaper than that but depends on the RFs

Here is mine... I did it in a matter of 3 or 4 minutes. A little trimming was necessary to accomodate the Sirius Sat antenna, but both antennas fit under it nicely, and I am VERY happy.

loud3, a couple of people on the mazda3forum did that. One person did it the way you did, however the other person cut a little notch in the roof (just enough for the wire to clear the antenna mount) and ran it up from underneath the main antenna. That way there are no visible wires at all.

I put one on my hatch and so far haven't had any bad experiences with FM/AM reception. I have to admit though I rarely listen to those it's always on Sirius.

How do you install it? Do you just unscrew the old antenna and screw the sharkfin on? I am considering buying it. I don't have satellite radio.
