Hi all, my rear view mirror was wobbling, so I decided to tighten the screw that holds it in place. This made a chunk of plastic snap off the mirror mounting bracket. Have ordered a new one, should the mirror simply slide onto the metal holder? I'm unable to attach my now broken mirror. I own a 2017 Mazda 3, the mirror is auto dimming.

There is a service bulletin in my market regarding loose mirrors, something to do with excess glue.
New mirror should slide on and use the grub screw gently to tighten.
