Default rattles

I have a 2007 Mazda 3. I bought the car new and have had it for about 14 months now. I love the car and the way it drives. But, a few obnoxious small things have come up. One being a rattle just over myleft shoulder. It sounds like it is coming from behind the panel. I cant seem to find the source. Anyone else have this issue? Also, the seat belt is constantly locking up. Half the time I dont even put it on cause I have to pull on it about 20 times before it frees up. It does not seem to matter if the motor is running or not.

the seatbelt may be defective but idk. as for the rattle it may be a bad washer, mazda's are known for it especially in the later model 626's so that may be the problem. my dad had a rattle in his 99 626 and it cost 300 bucks to replace a rubber washer in the back quarter pannel. i may be wrong but thats my 2 cents.

I'm not sure why your seatbelts are locking up, but that's a safety issue so I'd recommend taking it to the dealership immediately, especially while your car is still under factory warranty. Perhaps you can have that rattle checked out as wellwhile you're there. I'm also encountering a rattling soundcoming from the glove box on my 'Speed3 during high speeds. I usually drive alone, so I can't really pinpoint the source of the sound. Pardon me forpiggy-backingwith this post, buthasanyone encountered this issue and found a solution?I keep forgetting to mention it to the service tech at the dealership. For now, leaving the glove box open during highway driving ismy quick fix. [sm=smiley13.gif]

I just hit 1500 miles on my '08 and I have rattles all over the place. I don't know what they'd possibly be able to do to fix them but that's really my only my second gripe with this car. (1st being front tire road noise.)
Seatbelts need to get fixed faster than a rattle. They are probably related though from the sound of it.

My seat belt is the only thing that squeaks and by the left of my ear i think its comming from where the seat belt mechanism is at. I have close to 4000 miles...yea i know already[&o], other than that everything else is fine. Turn the music up you wont hear ****!

I've recently took my 3 to the dealership to check out a rattle. It was quite annoying, came from the front passenger dash. I noticed it would rattle above 40mph, but it wouldn't rattle all the time, just here and there. After the dealership had the car for 2 days, they found that wheelwell was not fully fastened to the fender. They stated the pin was not fully fastened, and at the right frequency the sound would occur. I have an 08' with 8000 miles. Sounds great know, no more annoying sounds.
