I m looking forward for buying a mazda3, does anyone knows where is the Engine and transmission made from? is there is a huge difference between the 2.0 and the 2.3 L engine?

they're both made in Japan. If you look at the window sticker it should have something that says what percentage of the car is Japanese. I believe mine is 95% Hiroshima.

HP/TQ wise there isn't much of a difference between the 2L, and the 2.3L. In 200......6? they added VVT to the 2L and since then it pulls almost as hard and long as the 2.3. I haven't actually driven the 2.0 at all, so I don't really know. It does get much better gas mileage for nearly as much sportiness though.
