Question regarding 2.2D Skyactiv PCM Update
Hi all,
I own a 2015 Mazda 3 with the 2.2D engine and with 27 K miles. A few months ago I was asked by the local dealer to take it in for a PCM software update recall regarding EGR. However, ever since I drove away I noticed my consumption dropped to less than 50mpg, average of 45mpg as per the Fuel Economy Meter. My question is did anyone experience this jump in consumption following a PCM update? I must add prior to the update I used to average around 50 to 58 mpg urban driving. I still drive it mostly urban keeping it on 4th gear and engine revving between 2 to 3 K rpm and usually trips are from 30 to 45 mins sometimes more, so driving conditions did not change. Also up to recently DPF regens were every 170 miles. I have Forscan so any suggestions are very welcome. Appreciate if anyone can help on this. Thanks.
