Why do you think I have not told the wifey about the 2 sets of HIDs I just ordered?
Since I just relpaced the third bulb in the left side of mine in a little over 6 months, I might at least order a set or HID's for the headlights.

I ordered from the link that 04Mazda3 posted in that thread. DDE/Apexcone. For the price and Apexcone lifetime warranty, I figured that the best deal I"ve seen. I only hope I"m wrong about the quality, but he made a good argument in their favor. So, I finally bit the bullet after years of wanting them.

Dang, $105 with the wiring to the Battery, that is pretty good.

You are just finding that out? I make no secret of my age.
I called it a "boot," the British term for a closed storage compartment. That covers all the bases, imo.
BTW: Read your other post. Congrats getting the car back. Hopefully they don"t run into any problems between now and then. Just be prepared, it does happen from time-to-time.

Ken, you shouldn"t need the new wiring. Even if running the 55w kit, the OE wiring is designed o handle that. The OE Halogens are 55w ea after all.

My rear storage compartment is still covered even, I keep stuff in there and it makes the car look cleaner than looking at my muddy boots and cold weather work gear.

But when it comes to spending money on her garden for tomatoes that will end up costing us more than three times to grow than to buy....
Does that example sound familiar to you too?

First, I won't even bother to get into this new hobby of hers making "Reborn" baby dolls. The kicker for this is that she's like "But I can sell them on Ebay...". Oh, brother -if I see one-tenth of a return on what she has spent on this wacky endeavour I'll eat my hat.

Asfor the HIDs, why two sets? Are these a straight up replacement for the factory HLs orare there modifications that need to be done? I still haven't gotten my head around this mod and all the options.
