Default Newbie - should I buy a 2009 5 door?

Dealer has a 2009 5-door. manual for $16,800 +TTT. Any real issues I need to be aware of? I'm not interested in waiting for the 2010s to arrive.

Thanks. Nice forum.

None that I know of, my 08 is at almost 21K without any problems.

That sounds like a good deal to me. Mine was over $19k in 2004, TTL included, only option was SAB/SAC/ABS, which is now standard anyway.
And the 2010's are going to be a new model, if you haven't already seen... most think they are pretty ugly and don't know what Mazda was/is thinking. Only a few seem to like it.
I'd say, get it while you still can!!!

And welcome to the forum, Steve!!

Get a carfax before buying it.
That way you can tell if it was a former rental car which you might want to stay away from.
The price makes me a bit suspicious.
Bob.

It is prabably new, since that is about $1000 lower than S-plan pricing. And one of our local Mazda dealers has been Advertising S-Plan and Mazda has $1000 back on any new Mazda

I just paid $17,200 one week ago today. So it sounds like a good deal. Go for it. I love mine. By the way, never buy the first year redesign of any car. My 2002 Nissan Altima has been a piece of junk. So go for the 2009 and don't wait for the 2010.
