First off I would like to say how helpful this forum has been to me. I just started looking at buying a new car. About a week ago I test drove a 2008 speed3, and love everything about the car. I love the way it handles, and how the controls are all centered around the dirver. I have did a lot of searching in this forum and not found anything really negative about the car. Everyone I have been talking to that owns a mazda cannot stop talking on how good they are.

So here is my question the 08 speed3 that I test drove is a left over one at the dealership. It is the base modle without all the added extras such as leather seats, moon roof and nav system. The dealer gave me an opening price around 20 k. Is this fair or could I push to see if it could be bought lower, if so what is too low without being offensive. This is my first new car that I have bought in 10 years. So I want to make sure that my I am getting the best price for my buying dollar.
