This hose right? Just to make sure I am looking at the right one LOL. See what happens when you hook it up correctly, or is it just so fubared it needs to be replaced?

Yeah that's the one. Looking at engine bay pictures, it seems that it is supposed to go back into the intake. Mine does not. It seems that when people put a high performance air filter or a CAI, some leave it unhooked with a small filter, or breather. My guess is that it's not a big deal if it is not hooked up then?

Where is the throttle position sensor on the engine?

Yeah as long as the hose is still getting filtered air it should be ok, if the PVC end was unhooked then you would have issues but that is the intake end of the system I believe. The TPS should be where your throttle cables are.................................ummmmmmmmmmm you do have throttle cables right? My 3 has cables and the TPS is on the opposite side of where they attatch.
