MS3 upgrades
I am looking into what would be the proper pathway and what the limits are to aftermarket parts for the MS3. Since its a front wheel drive car I personally think it'd beunsafe and impracticalto try and catch up with an extremely upgraded sti. So I'd say I'm looking to add up to a couple thousand in upgrades that don't void my warranty. I'm still hesitant to go with a cold air intake with the climate I drive in and would at the very least buy a hydroshield or even another bypass valve. Anyone have or can comment on the Cobb SF intake? I'm looking to put a new exhaust on definitely since that is the easiest way to find power out of the car. I'd say a down and race pipe not the whole catback since I'm not a fan of the sound. What's the story on CEL's and emissions with those parts (Turboxs). Eventually I'd get a new intercooler. The only option I see that is well known and safe enough would be the turbxs front mount intercooler, expensive but able to support further upgrades in hp. Obviously there's still new bovs, turbo manifolds, turbos, clutch systems and so on, but I see those above as the main parts to receiving a great amount of hp but not so much that you'll fly off the road due to the front wheels not being able to handle the power. From what I've read I'd be able to keep up with a moderately tuned sti at that point, maybe as a sleeper at a stop light butmore so on the highway when the disadvantage of front wheel drive goesaway. Any comments would be appreciated.
