Here's a picture of our 2010 3i in a remote (and muddy) location in Arkansas. We've had to deal with snow, icy roads, fog, rain, and a stray dog on the freeway, but the little Mazda has held tough. Mazda designed in some awesome road feel so when the roads got icy we were not caught off guard like some other unfortunate drivers.

 

Nice shot. If you make one this good for each month you have your own calendar for 2015.
And that built in road feel is a major selling point for Mazda.

 

With the freak winter storms we've strangely been having in Texas my 2014 Mazda3 has been a champ. Of course it's not invincible by any means so I've driven slow and cautious in freezing conditions. However it crossed several icy bridges like a champ with hardly any slippage and immediate takeover on the traction control.

 

Well, I wouldn't call it "good" on icy roads. The road feel is there so you know the roads are slippery, but the 3 slides around quite a bit on the slippery stuff. I think a nice set of Blizzaks would be very beneficial. The roads in Missouri were quite scary on the way back home! Here are a few more pictures from the trip:
