Hi guys, I’m wondering if I’ll be able to swap transmissions from a 2005 Mazda 5 2.3L to a 2005 Mazda 3 2.3L... both look identical but wanted to make sure before I start it....Mazda 3 tranny is shot and looking for a cheap transmission from a bone yard and they have a Mazda 5 in stock.Thanks

 

Any luck? I have a Mazda 3 2009 and I received a mazda 6 "2006-2008" 2.3L 5 speed from what I can tell based on the non-compatible center motor mount which is surmountable but terrible screaching upon 1st starting in park & neutral. Fried starter, any insights?
