Default SOHC to DOHC swap.

Just got a P.O.S. 91 Protege today. I think I'm gonna put some money into it. It's got the single cam 1.8(don't know what it's called) and I'd like to swap to the twin cam(BP, I believe it's called).

I was reading thru some of the posts in this forum and some people say it's a difficult swap, while others say it's a straight-forward swap.

I was assuming the 2 motors are pretty much identical(block) and use the same tranny making the swap super easy, correct? What are the other differences between the 2 motors and what would I need to consider for a swap? A new ECU? Wiring? Mounts?
