mazda 3 a/c fan switch

mazda 3 a/c fan switch

When my fan is set to either 1,2,3 or 4 the a/c shut off then on. If I tap the switch a/c will come on again. Do I need a new switch?

Is your "temperature" dial set to full cold (as in all of the way to the stop)? If so, back the dial off one click and try your test again.
