Mazda 3 2014 display gone after 1 day!

Mazda 3 2014 display gone after 1 day!
so I picked up my new Mazda3 2014 Friday morning. Saturday afternoon NO DISPLAY PANEL. No music,no phone, USB;s not working. I had plugged in my Tom Tom into the charger plug so I think that somehow shorted the system.
NOT IMPRESSED.Back to the dealer Monday. (from what I have read looks like there should have been some update applied to fix the problem?)
