And I thought (I know) I was cynical.

I don't get that feeling in this case, no. I "feel" that he's just a guy w/some really, really bad luck in a place that can offer him little support.

And what does that have to do with the price of eggs in Egypt?

He said he LOST the key, perhaps the only one he had.
Y'all gotta' know that Egypt, and that part of the world in general,is not like the States or even Canada. Completely different culture and set of values there.

My only problem with this is if there are no dealers there, where/how did he get the car in the first place?

thats true. for a car like that it would be worth like 30- 40 thousand because of the rareness of the car. and i also would assume importing. i mean look here we have nissan skyline that we get imported from Japan. im thinking it would be the same thing haha

well it has crossed my mind to get one of those you know "Valet Keys" where if i take my car anywhere and they park it or something like that or for when i take it to the dealership. but im not too sure if they would have any of those. does someone know about that?
There aren't any valet keys for the 3. You can make a regular key that will open everything but not start the car, or you can have a key that does everything.
